Athens

And so our five week trip comes to an end!  A five hour ferry from Serifos to Athens calling in at the pretty port of Merihas on Kythnos, an Island we will return to next time.
Two nights in Athens exploring the Acropolis and of course the flea markets!!
By last count we have stayed on thirty six Islands now and we've not finished!!
The blue skies, the colours, the crystal clear waters, the food and most of all the Greek people make it impossible not to return.

Serifos

An early start from Santorini and eight hours later we were in our studio on the sandy shores of Livadakia Beach, Serifos.
We called into the Islands of Sikinos, Ios, Folegandros, Milos and Sifnos on the way which gave us a quick re-cap of these beautiful Islands visited in past years.

Santorini

A nineteen hour ferry from Halki to Santorini via Karpathos, Kasos, Crete and Anafi.  Not as bad as it sounds.  Our third time in Santorini and it continues to hold us in awe.  One of the wonders of the world!

Halki

Hard to leave Tilos, but a quick one hour jaunt on an express ferry took us to pretty Halki and the picturesque port of Emborios.  A miniature version of Gialos on Symi.

Tilos

A two and a half hour evening ferry from Symi took us to the very relaxing Island of Tilos, with it's beautiful seafront promenade and it's wonderful cliff top walks above crystal clear bays.

Symi

Very sad to leave Astypalea but more places to see!
Caught the ferry to Kalymnos which took three hours and then had to sprint (not easy with backpacks) to the quick cat as it was departing. Made it with seconds to spare and two hours later via a quick stop at Kos we arrived at spectacular Symi.
No accommodation to be found in the stunning port of Gialos so with the help of a kind Priest and his wife with transport, we secured a fantastic self contained apartment on pretty Pedi Beach, two kilometres from town. What a magical place!!
