A two and a half hour evening ferry from Symi took us to the very relaxing Island of Tilos, with it's beautiful seafront promenade and it's wonderful cliff top walks above crystal clear bays.

Symi
Very sad to leave Astypalea but more places to see!
Caught the ferry to Kalymnos which took three hours and then had to sprint (not easy with backpacks) to the quick cat as it was departing. Made it with seconds to spare and two hours later via a quick stop at Kos we arrived at spectacular Symi.
No accommodation to be found in the stunning port of Gialos so with the help of a kind Priest and his wife with transport, we secured a fantastic self contained apartment on pretty Pedi Beach, two kilometres from town. What a magical place!!

Greece 2014
Well, we didn’t expect to end up in Greece this year but our lives took an unexpected turn in February with Col being diagnosed with Lymphoma.
After a six month course of
chemotherapy Col is in full remission and we are celebrating with a five week
trip to the Greek Islands.
Astypalea 25 August
The first Island visited is Astypalea
(spelt many different ways but we're sticking with this one) in the
Dodecanese, a ten hour ferry ride from Athens via Paros, Naxos, Donousa and
Amorgos.
We've found a great hotel (Hotel
Paradissos) on the waterfront with a large balcony overlooking the bay and 14
th Century Castle.
